Wooden Bowls

When I read this heartbreaking but wonderful story, I had tears rolling down my cheeks. I felt bad for the grandfather because he was eating his dinner alone and he was not able to enjoy it because no one can enjoy a meal without family. In my opinion, I think this connects to empathy. This is because when the father had asked his son what he was making out of the wood scraps, his sons response made the father put himself in to his fathers shoes, he noticed what he did to a poor elderly man with different disabilities. The lesson taught in this story was karma! Karma is another way of saying "what goes around comes around." I really enjoyed this story and i hope that the mother and daughter-in-law learned a good lesson about karma.
